I think this was a rod made for and sold by torbay angling. Detonator & Mysteron were made by Conoflex for Ade & boys from torbay angling, will try and find out about this model.

Iv spoke to conoflex and the megaton was a mistake it was supposed to be an igniter but the lad in the factory cut the tips of them at the wrong diameter so they couldnt sell them ,the green weaved part of the tip is a wrap of carbon kevlar only 6 or 7 were ever sold in the world so you have got a true limited edition rod and as they were a mistake no info was ever published or released but they are still good rods and they are up to conoflex's usual quality made just before 2000

I thought Ignitors were made by Century?
I think however that Conoflex did a similar thing with some of their Engima rods and made them into another rod called a Rakata (basically a 14ft Enigma).

Ignitors wer deffo century,Conoflex hav dun loads n loads of rods and renamed them 4 dif shops...at the end of the day if its a nice rod m8 dont matter wot its called use it n abuse it ;D my rough guide wud b fairly stiff through action rough ground rod .....tippy softer action clean to mixed ground, match type rod. only a very basic guide but it may help.....u cud bring it along sunday and givit a go ;D also weigh it that will giv u an indication of wall thickness in the blank. i WUD IMAGINE FROM WOT I CAN REMEMBER ITS A FAIRLY STIFF ACTION AS IM SURE I WAGGLED 1 IN SCOTTIES YRS BAK. Jako def had 1 in ther. Not sure wot vampire u got i thought they wer all tippy as f*k not stiff at all ;D ;D
