wanted to try a different mark after seeing some good rock gulleys at low water,so headed to Bexhill sunday avo for a quick yak session.
glorious afternoon and it felt great to be afloat again after so many days fishing lost to crappy winds recently.
not far offshore and the deep diving lure i was using hit after just a few mins :win:
that really perked me up
trolled along towards hastings enjoying scenery and watching other people having fun!
after releasing the first little schoolie,i was hoping for a better fish,i didnt have to wait long!! :catch:
my rod tip submerged before i had backed off the reel clutch, and the yak turned back toward my unseen quarry!,rather than rush to land the fish,i nervously kept the tip up and with a little winding in,let the bass tire itself out dragging my yak !
fish was approx 4lb mark and so strong for its size!
quickly despatched and into a bag, i then headed out a little further and returned back toward my point of launch
approaching the shore in the shallower water another bass, around 2lb also gave me a good little fight and it joined the other one as tucker!!!,i landed and was met by my better half eager to see the results of my efforts!,hauling the yak up a little ways, i set about gutting, scaling my catch , then, something familiar caught my eye as i washed the fish-would you believe it a fiver!-floating by!!! :win:
what could be better!-sun,my yak ,fish and a fiver!!! it doesnt get any better!!
tucked it onto the yak to dry out!
all in all a great sunday, my first fish landed to my yak and cash to boot!,happy fishing to all!
