Thats an almost impossible question to answer mate. Reels are generally designed for a specific purpose, your best bet is probably to go into a tackle shop and talk to the guys in there about what you want to use the reel for and how much you want to spend. Im sure the best reel for you would not suit the next bloke in the shop.

agreed rob match the reel to your type of fishing abu 65 series .......great clean to mixedground distance reel penn 525 mag......mixed to rough ground diawa 7ht series .....clean to mixed ground distance abu 7000 series penn 535 and diawa slosh 20 and 30 ......mixed ,rough ground reels but generally down on distance when funds allow get another.......then another.......then another ;D beware of cheaper alternatives but good second hand reels can be found !!

I own 2 chrome rockets and they have a more solid feel than the mag range, quality reels.
