Hi I have wasted my money on a couple of tripods can you recomend a decent tripod where you can help get the leg in the beach with the aid of your foot,? without breaking and stand nice and stable. Thanks in advance for any advise Chris

I had a salt one and after putting some propper rod holders on it quite liked it apart from the weight. So then bought a golds one which lasted about a week before I decided that it was far to flimsy and fell over every 30 seconds even with a leg lock kit. I have now got a veals mail order pro something or other, I have to say that so far its been the dogs danglies. Fully aluminium construction. Nice bit of weight to keep it steady but still light enough to carry for miles with out thinking about it.

Yep its made by parker. The only plastic on it are for the thumb screws on the adjustable front legs, the rest is all alloy.

If you go for an Ian Golds super match with leg lock as stated above, you will have brought the best. Like Labyrinthfish , i'v also had mine since they first came out, and its still as good as new, and yes I do use it. :fishing-smile:

salt the best, hang plasic bag on clip and fill with stones, take a big fish to shift this rest.adjustable to suit reel position or have rods higher.best one ive had ,drill two small holes attach split rings and use golf bag carry strap to carry.

My tripod stays in the shed mostly, now use a couple of 5ft beach spikes, far easier to carry, don't blow over, fully adjustable, never known a fish pull one over, even big smuts and cheap. (and I'm 68 LOL)
