Very nice Richi, I'd be happy a happy bunny if I could just paddle aroung the IOW, the minds willing, but the body is so so weak God I'm getting old.....

yd have you thought about doing round the island over a few days? its a very nice trip that way. i took a couple of m8s round 2 years back,spread it over 4 days,doing 15 miles a day with the tide and then camp up somewhere nice,get the rods out and relax :fishing-smile:

That was a truly inspirational film, not being the owner of a yak
myself i can still see the attraction. Those guys have what it takes
and more to say the least. It really makes you think that all things
are possible if you want them enough. If only I was younger !

Not sure I would like to be in his shoes...saw the programme on the BBC..... no dry-suit, artic waters, an unstable canoe and you need to be close enough to see the whites of its eyes.... on a scale of one to flippin suicidal, that is close to madness
