Well it looks as though we've eventually laid our hands on an original Eastbourne built mark 1 raider (1998). There's not a trailer in the deal so I've sourced a trailer which was originally off a orkney Day angler 19 so the length & capacity will be fine & the axel will be moved to suit the balance of the raider but I'm after the measurements from the centre of the keel roller to where the bunk rest's on the trailer fall on the raider.
So, put simply the distance from the raiders keel to where the bunks will make contact with the bottom of the boat. Once I've collected the trailer I'll post the distance from centre keel to centre bunk & I wondered if any raider owners would be able to provide me with the height measurent.
It will save me alot of mucking around on the slipway. Cheers all! Pete

Cheers Karl, I'll be collecting the boat either this weekend or Tuesday next week so that would be a help - thanks I should be collecting the trailer this Thursday so I'll post the horizontal distance from centre keel roller to centre bench rest & if you could measure the difference from keel to bottom of the boat at that point that would be great.
I might have to find a way to draw a diagram of the measurement required because each time I write it I make it sound more confusing ;D

Not as yet, its not a done deal as yet. We've agreed to buy her & the sellers agreed to keep her til the trailers sorted but I remain cagey til money has changed hands. A lovely angling boat, I still cant get over 36 inches of freeboard on an 18ft boat. She's needs a strip down, a good clean up & a rewire but its worth the time & dough to get such a solid boat

Yep, the stove is good for a good tea and fry up. Also getting the pan hot even before you drop the feathers for the freshest mackerel you will ever get is a must ;-)

hi pete b my names herbie, i own a raider 18 one of the early ones, it was the 5th one to go on the market , only one problem , the new owner didnt look after it . it took a couple of years to upgrade and re new. on inspection at first sight we notised the wireing, my god , it was small bits of 2mil wire cellotaped together , what a sight. anyway its a lot of hard work and much moneys spent, shes fully loaded now,if u need any info id b happy but not on trailers .
