I have got the 250as and I love it. Very solid, quick, capable with loads of deck space and a touch of comfort in the cabin.

tested, serviced played on loads of arvors ,all are very good for the money, a couple m8s of mine at whale island have/had arvors. one of the older arvor 25 (dell quay spec)with a nanni 165hp MAN engine. it was a solid strong sea boat and the weighty engine gave very good satbility in rough seas , just wish i had the cash to buy it when he upgraded to a lovley rodman. and the other has a 23 with a 115 nanni which also handled some rough stuffwhen iv been out with him the newer ones dont have that wieght but do have a more power which is very usfull when you are heading out 20 mile, avors are great value for money other cracking boats which are very simaler are the merry fisher which can feel bit to light at times but have better choise of engines and again are great value for money. i think the 695 is top dog in there range for a angler and the Ocqueteau are a better finished boat but with a price tag to match this all said i cant have one for few years yet but im here hoping for a big pay rise ;D ;D ;D

Downside with the Rodmans is that they can be very noisy because the engine is in the wheelhouse. Some people dont like the canvas doors to the wheelhouse and prefer a solid finish.
There is a very well looked after example at Whale Island at the moment for sale. He cannot get any takers and I think it is only around £24000.

its a lot better build , but it comes with a price tag to match. thay are all most boarding a cruising boat more than a fishing boat and the volvos an'it cheep to keep up very comfortable fishing if you can afford it i cant say thay are noiser tho, arvors echo , rodman has engine inside, much of a muchness. which can disapoint for the extra cost.

The red diesel has turned into a fiasco, again, as you would only expect from this government. They have decided it is too complicated to administer and the expense invovled for the suppliers and marinas cannot be justified.
What they have decided to do for now is that when you go and fill up at the marina the attendant will ask whether you are commercial or pleasure user. If you declare pleasure then he will charge you at the higher rate and then identify that purchase to the governmanet and send them the duty.
YEAH RIGHT! - I KID YOU NOT!

they keep saying the red diesel will go up to roadside prices but what do we get for paying the roadside price ,most of the tax on roadside diesel goes to fixing and maintaning the roads

Thats a relief I thought they were busy spending it on second homes and lap dancing clubs!
