Superb tripod ,I simply cannot fault it .He should have named it the Viagra cos it stays up all night no matter how rough it is. My one has had a good workout lately with all this weather we've been having and gets a big thumbs up from me.

How much do they set you back Daren ? My tripod is looking very tired now - one of the heads is held on with elastic bands .

Richard
Santa found one (6ft) for me at Rover's in Fareham at £32.99 and there were still a few left on Saturday. It feels light enough to carry for a while (browndown/wich) and they also have an attachment for £7.50 to hang traces etc from.

One thing that makes these from a good rod rest to a brilliant one is the added extra of a leg locking kit , about £6 i think, parts are cheap n easy to obtain as well if ya snap a few bits off like me........

i have the ian golds non match one.....if that makes sence. it was my first double tripod and ive had it about 4 years with no probs, you can ge all the add-ons for this one too. sometimes a little flimsy as all 3 legs are the round hollow ones as opose to the match one with a strong "v" shaped one. looking to upgrade to the supermatch one at some point

Yes The Ian Golds Supermatch Tripods are very well made and will last for a life time but I would also take a look at the P @ M Tripod Range also

I purchased one whilst in Lock Stock & Tackle in Southsea the other week.
Only used it once so far, but found it very sturdy, dead easy to put up and take down.
Better than the crappy little stand I had, and the home made "Swimming Pool" pool holder I have been using

But once it was up it was up and not going anywhere. So overall a 8/10 from him. I use the 6 foot supermatch and have owned it for over 10 years, allthough i only used it for 3 and its never let me down and i would not buy any other if it did need replacing. Handy to know that u can get spares for it aswell(did'nt know that) Mike
