Wonder why some folks feel the need to talk absolute drivel. Never went to the so called Hayling meet, it was a bit of a shambles I am told. The Shakespeare Salts are not "thin-walled glass" but full carbon as I initially stated and which can be seen in the tackle shop. I wrote this review for anyone who might be considering buying one of these rods which are endorsed by Mike Thrussell. Casting distances are of course down to one's technique and I happen to know at least one gent who can cast over 120 yds with just a Comoran composite cheapie.

eccles they reviewed it in this months sea angler. alan yates reviewed it and liked it alot. i have the flounder salt rod and they are decent rods. i think the 14 and 15ft salt beach rods will be a best seller as you get alot of rod for your money. and they will get you alot of extra distance for not much effort.
