Actualy I think a cb radio on it might not be a bad idea, allow one to express ones thoughts to this. Vhf is great for the obvious, mobile phones corr blimey cost a fortune a call and texting while consentrating on rod tip is a pain in the ass. NOT allowed to have a home base VHF at home to chat to missus sooooooooooo a cb radio on board and one at home could be a good idea, I havn't had a cb in years so not sure if anyone still uses them much. The potental is there for communications with land... mabey.... ps. I think it may be one day your last way of sending sos to someone when all else fails!

I've also thought about fitting a CB radio for the idle chit chat, saves clogging up the VHF channels.

Shes got a 140hp mercruiser inboard, its petrol but because of the power we only do bout 3000rpm for 16 knots cruise and it burns about the same as a 100hp 4stroke which my mate runs on his fish eagle. The main appeal is the deck space though, you could fish 4 comfortably on her ;D |
