They're very good... I was bidding on one on ebay it went for £112 which is a steal. It's quite stiff though, much stiffer than your Daiwa rods.

The PZ300T is one of the MK1 range UK Made at their Alnwick factory b4 they moved production to Far East in 2002. Its 14ft fitted with zircon rings in all black livery cost new 280.00, ideal for rough ground or Tourny casting, mate of mine used it on the field hit 255 yds with it a few yrs back.
Poingdestres in Soton still got a new one in stock selling for 220.00, nothing in the latest range from Greys compares to the original British built rods, how much is it going for?.

I have a pair mick and they are fantastic very powerful with superb bite detection. Very well built cause Hardy's of alnwick made them not flung together in the far east The only down side is the weight of them... They are a serious rod for the heavy stuff. I can cast them well over 200 yards no worries off the ground or pendulam... I put a review on here a few months ago....... You will get a pair but you'll just have to keep your eyes open.. I wouldn't part with these for the simple fact in my opinion they have not been bettered for my type of fishing....... Grey's have bought out the platinum GSI to replace the 300 but I have tried it and its rubbish in comparision.... If you want a beast of rod this is the one......... If you bought it what number is on the spigot mick? I had a pair, real beasts, but great for hauling in rays and winkling eels out. The weight is a downside but you soon get used to that. Mine had captive reducers in when I was using them, I think my build number were something like 34 and 116, I bet they're still going strong. The rings are Silicon Carbide, if you but one replace the tip rings with Diamite, chances are they have been/will be smacked on rocks
