They are good if used right colby. I don't quite get what you mean, could you draw a diagram or something? (a picture speaks a thousand words stop laughing at the back there!)

cheers lads for the info just wondering about pully rigs i mostly make 1 hook clipdowns and have used a few srt springs in the past for them and came out pretty good not used srt tht much with up and over but just wondering who uses pully rigs here?? i was thinking of making a couple because the look pretty effective and easy to make but i am worried that the swivel puts a kink in the line wont this damage it?

As Adam said use a good 60lb mono so as not to cut throught the line, i occasionally put a bit of thin rig tube through the swivel and glue it to the swivel eye for extra protection.

I would not make a clipped down rig without a SRT spring, if the hook length becomes loose then i just stretch the spring out ;D

Yep I use them when I don't think a normal pully will put my bait on the bottom, I use minimum 60lb rig body and big round eyed swivels not diamond eyed. Steve

hmmmm having read the link,it seems ive been missing out my rig making one of these springs. www.nesa.co.uk/Junior-Section/Reviews/Gemini_SRT_Spring.htmlIll have to try em,although ive been satisfied adjusting water knots made from silicon tube....if the need arose. as my crimping skills are naff..... luv the fox ....pulley beads. always used "round" eyed swivv,s..........in all BS wots the avantage of the diamond eye.. ?..if any. I like the idea of the pulley beads I have also used the red zip sliders on the rig and they were ok but when I started casting rigs into really rough ground it got expensive . I moved over to big round eyed swivels meant for boat fishing on the basis that the thicker the metal the better. It's difficult to tell what or why a rig brakes when you don't get it all back, I can see that the rig body could be taking a beating from the swivel but then the same could be said for the edges of the beads? I've not had one brake yet but then I'm neither a power caster nor have I hooked anything BIG... As for the diamond eyed swivels, I'm not sure what they would be good for that a round eye wouldn't be? Steve
