Have made life a lot easier for me on lug, i've used them on rag too although rag can be a bugger to get on with tho's hook things in their mouths !! also making up a 'coktail' (soz about the spelling it dont like it spelt properly!) of bait on them & just sliding it onto the hook i dont think you can beat them ;D
TB they look like this ------------------------------ lol
They have a point on one end & a small hole in the other, you slide the bait over the pointed end the hold the needle at the pointed end & place the hole end onto the hook, hold it all together & push the bait down the needle & onto the hook........... simple...... i think ! lol

I bought 1, but it wasnt a very good 1. The hole to put your hookpoint into was made from a small piece of silicone, and kept getting caught on the barb of a size 6. Never bothered much after that, i might try and get a steel 1 though, as you can at least use it while your fishing, and if it speeds up the baiting-up, saves you having 2 rigs out, i can never be bothered to have more than 1 rig. I leave that to the match anglers

used to use them as a kid, but once i lost it i never bothered buying another as i found i did'nt need it any more. also if you throw lug at the floor they stiffen up and are easyer to thread on

I use them all the time, gemini I find are best as the point is rounded, and am all fingers and thumbs. They come in a plastic tube which is handy because you can tape it to your tripod leg with reflective tape so you can find it at night.

I'm trying to find an old school one where instead of a tube at one end it has a folded narrow loop, like an eye. Anyone seen any in their tackle shop? I had one and it's rusted away to nothing :0(
