scary!!!theres been a few moments....lol....all part of the fun.you might pick a second hand one for £300???up two over a £1000 for a new fibre glass one!! depends what you want..been out from cowes a bit ,had the thorneback off norris ,in the river and the yar,and shanklin,nothing to hectic as i am prety new to the kayak,have more places in mind as my experience grows....cheersmate....
