My replacement boat arrives next Thursday from North Yorkshire! She may be old but it ticks all my boxes It is a Romany 21, built in Poole many years ago. She has a planning hull with 140hp turbo Ford to Volvo (I think) leg which pushes her along at 20+kts. So I still will have the speed I was used to with the Warrior but now with a wheelhouse, larger deck space and hopefuly more comfort. I can't wait to get her back so I can start making her into my boat. Dave

She needs a lick of paint here and there plus I want to make some of the storage spaces more useful. The engine box needs to be insulated to help reduce the noise levels and just a general tidy up plus of course updating the safety equipment. I must admit I am really looking forward to getting her home but I have got to get it into postion early Thursday morning before the tide goes out to allow the lifting straps to be positioned to get her lifted out and onto the trailer. Just seen the weather for North Yorkshire for Thursday, 30+mph Easterly winds gusting to 40mph! Should be interesting, so say the least! Dave

Looks lovely Dave, I've always liked them. You wont know yourself being able to brew up in a nice warm cabin. Looking forward to seeing the pics of the bits you do. Good luck with her.

Sorry Guys should have followed up on my original post. All arrived back ok and have been working on a number of small jobs on her. Found the auto bilge not working so ordered a replacement, the winch only worked one way, found one of the foot switches faulty. The radio had never had the MMSI number entered so went on the Ofcom web site and got my boat licence plus a new MMSI number, just need to wire it into the plotter. Opened up the wiring behind the steering consule!!!!!!!! OMG what a birds nest of wires. I think this will be a job for later in the year as it seems most things work ok. Oh well the joys of boating Dave
