yeh iv seen a big incress and like you say a 2lb bass is common place now
my rule with bass is to release the bigger ones(5lb+) so thay can breed and eat the smaller ones(2-3lb)cos thay tast lovely, but iv never taken more than 2 in 1 trip
i just hope the bass keep growing and breeding , it a shame whats happening in the channel islands with the fish that are breeding. i think thay should ban trawling for bass in breeding season,
and maybe the cod need some sort of simlar system to see if the stocks can recover. but it will only work if the trawlers work with it and thats the hard bit as its there living.
i would love to know how much difference it would make if thay stopped trawling with in 10 miles of land for 5 years. bet it would be like an oasis
