cant get fishing at the moment so had a wander today. went to minnis bay for a look and know one fishing but will be going back as i would love a beach caught thorny. went to margate sea front and saw a mixture of small fish, crabs are peeling so hopefully the bass will follow.i was told it is a fortnight to three weeks early. moved on to the ramsgate undercliffe and same small fish. went to good old sandwich bay and a lot better, whiting, codling, and flatties being caught on the high tide.saw a monster pout as well. local match weights this week have been very poor according to the local press.(mr yates). for a reference the breakwater has re opened this week thurs, sat, and sundays.they do not go out past a force 5 wind so check with the harbour master first. yes i am extremely bored looking after the kids

An 8lb 2 oz ray was caught on Deal pier Friday night, 1 of the locals winged it for the table, not sure if i'd eat 1 myself, there such a nice fish to catch, maybe 1 day. Also a bloke had 3 rays at minnis on a low tide over the weekend, the brother of a work colleague, i believe they were taken for the table too. No more info from my patch.....
