I have no doubt that this topic has been brought up a million times but...... the koden f-finder which came with the boat is abit old and i'd like to update it.
I'm a fan of Garmin and have been looking at the 400c but i've heard great things about the horizon ones too.
Ideally i'd like to spend about £300
Your thought's would be great

My mate has the same on his Lochin, the gain is set fairly low and you can see the anchor drop. Did you get your's from ebay? The one's on there at the mo dont come with the tranducer

Got the same, had it since they first came out, cost an arm and a leg then though. If you get one you wont be dissapointed.

The one's on there at the mo dont come with the tranducer Arron i swapped my lowrance x87 for it as it was supposedly too big for my mates explorer ;D ;D right result  i have bought a sounder from ebay america and saved a fortune a couple of years ago,even with paying import tax and postage. my theory is this furuno........sounders raymarine.............radars simrad.............gps icom...............vhf radio's and jrc take some beating,i took a new raymarine radar scanner cover off a few months ago and the internals are made by jrc the innards of my furuno are also jrc |

I thought the Koden was a great bit of kit even with its micro-wave appearence. I've only just got to grip with ours but it amazes me still when you can see our feathers working on the screen.
I thought I read about Koden making a range now? any good?

i had a koden on my old boat. but when fitted out went all garman and got the 320 fish finder as aback up and it a good set
