Here's the lowdown;
the batter mix..
3xTBL's SR Flour Pinch salt Pinch Bicarb Teaspoon of Vinegar Cold water to mix
Really whisk this lot up to a thickness of Double cream (don't stint on the whisking) Have a plate with some flour on, dip the fish into the flour, both sides well covered, dip into the batter.... fry
Double up the ingredients if you need more.

Nice one lightly, I'm liking the look of that batter recipe. I need to nail a few early codling to try it out.

its a good recipe mate, nice light crunchy batter; but if you prefer a more stogy batter (some do) then it won't be for you. If you cut a doggy up into small pieces, about half inch square then dip into the above batter, deep fry then you have a poor mans scampi mate, lovely with lemon juice

Here is my batter mix! 1 half pint of wheat beer room temp!(the murky stuff with yeast in the bottom) self raising flour. salt. lemon juice! 1 egg. Pour beer into bowl with egg and mix flour into bowl until is thick! like thick gloss paint about 6 to 8 oz depending how thick you like it.Then add tablespoon of lemon juice and teaspoon of salt.Leave for 30mins to start fermenting and sniff should smell like bread dough.Now its ready to go,here is my tea which is a plaice fillet Yum Yum
