greenlands

Hi all, i went out for a few hours yesterday afternoon.
launched at about 2pm from spitfire quay in the itchen and paddled round to weston shelf and tried the anchor and trolley(for the first time) which went well before paddling to the deepwater at greenlands.

got to greenlands and anchored up, dropped the hook and was getting lots a bites, soon hooked one and got it up to the surface and saw a white belly before it spat the hook(pout probably)
back down and again lots of bites, then hooked a reasonable fish got it to the side of the yak and netted a 2lb bass;D not massive but all good fun. back down again and lots of bites but not connecting, 5/0s too big for pout ;D

the light started to fade nd i began to loose the feeling in my hands:( so paddled to the slipway at ensign way and went home happy after a good day out on the yak
5 miles paddled, not to bad considering i was up all night being sick

Hi scotty this made me giggle when i saw this and straight away thought arr richi must have told you my secret cod spot very near greenlands bouy you will have to ask him for the gps corridinates if i can dig them out i will pm them to you, heres one we got earler.
