Hi all,
I'm sure this is an easy one for you boat owners with gps.
Having just bought a handheld gps for use on my mates boat with the intention of using some of the marks i have been given, what datum do you set them to?
I'm thinking it could be WGS84 (World Geodetic System) or GRB36 (Ordnance Survey of GB)
Also is there a good website for entering coordinates into to view there position? I only want to enter the closer marks.

Thanks for that, i thought that was the datum but wanted to be sure as it changes the coordinates.

Hi I would check with the manufacturer's handbook or their web site as many handhelds use the Ordnance Survey datum as they are often used by hikers. Getting it wrong could put you miles out! Dave
