I've noticed for the last 4 or 5 trips out that when we flush the engine through on the muffs the tell-tale doesn't spit water immediately. It may take a nervous four or five seconds before the tell-tale spits. As soon as it does it really puts out a strong jet. Haven't noticed it do this when she's in the water.
I must admit our muffs have seen better days, alot of water seems to escape from either side but I wondered if anyone had had the same happen.
Any ideas Ta

Hi Pete, abu4c is probably correct. When you lift the boat out the system can drain which means it has to pull the water through again before it will show at the tell tale. If it is immersed in the sea then the system will hold the water and the tell tale will be instant.

I get the same on my Honda. Something to remember with the Honda is that it has 2 water intakes....
