she's a loverly boat mate, look forward to reading the catch reports you put in. where abouts will you be fishing with her?? Will be mainly launching from either Burseldon/Warsash or Lee on Solent depends where i plan to fish. Will be new to the boat fishing world so need to introduce myself slowly and safely!!! Thought about keeping her on a wet mooring but to save money and keep the wife sweet have decided to trailer her for a while and see how i go!  |

Its taken a while to get it sorted but spent this morning stripping the engine down. Cleaned out the bores and am happy to report no lasting damage ;D. Looks like we had a bit of a head gasket problem allowing the start of some internal corrosion. Just about to order some new rings, gaskets and bearings and touch wood with a bit of guidance i will be able to put it back together again and get out on the water!! ;D Still no name though!!  |

Finished the engine rebuild today, new bearings, new rings and a complete service/overhaul!! She now purrs like a cat, how chuffed am i!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Can't thank Steve Dawkins at Burseldon Outboards enough for his help, guidance and tuition. Happy days!! :drink:

Woody, what a picture that is with your lad climbing all over the boat, brings back memories of when my lad was that age. Angling stays with them for ever and when they are older tends to help keep em out of the pub  Glad your engine is all sorted and good luck with the fishing Martin |

Finally got the boat 'WOODSEA' in the water today for a test run up and down the Hamble. Both engines, main and auxillary performed really well. She is now back on the trailer being polished and having her name put on the side ready for our first fishing trip. Happy Days!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

She went well, just needed afew adjustments on the carbs at idle. Feeling well chuffed today, typical though i am working all weekend so can't get back out for a bit!! She looks very neat though, pictures will follow. ;D ;D I'm off out tonight for a few to celebrate :drink: |
