I think it's an old quattra of some sort or dream machine. I don't think it's been botched.

I think it's an old quattra of some sort or dream machine. I don't think it's been botched. Think you will find the original Quattra had a spigot joint not a push-in as this has, also the tip is too thick, most zzipys were 4mm. Reckon its lost a bit somewhere, wonder if its a B14 or an old Formula T thats had an accident.

He's a quote
I recently aquired a quattra sport ,it is a non typical design that Terry did in the mid to late 90's . It has a tapered butt and a spigot joint . Is his new blank he went back to the classic design with a parallel butt and push in tip joint

All zzipys have push-in joint(tip into butt) like century, the original quattra had a spigot like Greys/Daiwa/most conoflex,s...

Wudnt touch it with a barge pole. Looks like its had an accident and lost sum tip ;D Years ago u could buy a zzipy with a choice of butts, length, material etc but from the dimensions given for this rod id say its been broken. Unless u can get hold or it and giv it a waggle and a good bend to check the action steer well clear unless u want a xtra long boat rod ;D Newish style sticker and been rebuilt length 13foot still , cud be an XTR with a few inches missing....rip your arms off if u get it wrong Parralel butt 6 foot butt suggests this will hava check Tip diameter of 5mm gives it away as its pretty thick Its not a quattra they hada butt that was 1 and 1/4 inch and this is thinner and the second generation quattras were mainly brown 175g etc ;D The early quattres were green ;D The blank looks unground as well ;D if u look at the fotos the ring spacing just dont look right and seems a ring or 2 short ;D British telecom use something very similar to support cables AKA Telegraph pole
