Very interesting. Thanks for posting. Looking quickly through the figures, the catch rates for anglers looks reasonable. What struck me was the retained weight of fish by anglers compared to commercial. At around one third to a half, it was a lot higher than I expected. Assuming these figures are broadly correct, and they are supported by the results of surveys in other countries, anglers can no longer say that their impact is negligible compared to commercial.

I would think the biggest worry would be to the charter men, they are the easiest to regulate and there catch return is high, given the numbers who use them. I would presume the CF figures are for whats landed not whats caught!
