Anyone ever tried Lampreys for bait. My son uses them for pike fishing, he reckons their full of blood, (spose they would be would'nt they).
I'm going over to the mainland next week was thinking of getting some. dont want to waste me dosh though if their a nono for sea work.

Like your son, I use them for Pike fishing but I also use them for sea fishing. You can also get Lamprey oil for dipping dead baits in. But like most things, you have to decide what type of fish you are targetting and what works in one place, may not work in another. Whatever you decide, good luck and enjoy P.S. Hope your son had a good Pike season, I know I did :catch: I sometimes use some of the tactics for Pike fishing when I'm sea fishing. It really does work

Thats interesting mate, when i was on the mainland a couple of weeks ago i called into Joey Tailors shop as he normally has them. He reckons he cant get hold of them at the moment. Being fished out apparantly.
