yes mick, loads of scope for spinning etc around cowes, just follow your instincts ;D when you see the ground you will just know were to have a few chuks The whole area screams bass good luck ;D The whole main seafront towards gurnard is worth a go as well as the parade area, its easier if you just take it as it comes rather than tell you to fish a specific mark ;D ;D

As Bk said have a good walk with your rod... best way to up your chances is to be on the move.. Lures look good try them all! One purchase that has made a difference to me is a maria angel kiss....(veals) not cheap but excellent catchers.... they do a extra shallow runner which is great of kelp/rock. The blue seems to do best for me

Many plan thier trips to fish over the h/w as the tide turns, i have found that the low turning to flood is just as good. The change of tide seems to bring the fish on no matter what the direction, just the change seems to wake things up. Good luck on ya mission. Some nice lures to choose from there!

Got no chance of crab where i live, local tackle shops here are all coarse gear (we on the banks of the Thames), did notice tha he's got some Berkley gulp 2'' rubber crabs, would these be any good??? £6 for 5 seems a bit harsh if they're crap.
