Hi, I'm out in Iraq but return to the UK at the end of the week. I moved to Ryde shortly before I came out here, and I'm really looking forward to getting stuck into some fishing when I come home.

Haven't fished for years, but gave it a quick go off the pier at Ryde when I was back for a week in April and caught a small Pout. I would welcome any tips for good spots on my side of the Island. I'm really looking for Bass, but also places where I can take Mackerel from the shore or piers. I'm quite a fidgety man so prefer spinning or float fishing to keep me busy.
