hi ppl,i really like spinning for mackrel but im not to sure when they will be about. can someone please tell me if any are being caght or when they will be about.

A few being caught from Ryde pier and Yarmouth pier already. A sunny, calm day is best. Don't bother if the water is muddy.

flooding tide in the evening works a treat, as stevieboy has said, nice settled weather works well.
dont always expect surface activity with early season fish tho ;D

If your gonna fish yarmouth pier on single lure you will need an ebb tide, they can go on the feed any time from top to bottom, will feed for a period then go off the boil, could come back again at any time during the ebb, Feathers out the front, ebb or flood, try red feathers if water is a little cloudy.
