im in the throws of buying a 2nd hand 2 person sea kayak.
its just a basic plastic shell, no bungees, rod holders, no posh seat etc, etc. i really want it for setting and retrieving my handfull of collapsable lobster pots, and for doing a bit of macky/bass spinning/ trolling.
ive got my life jkt, more wetsuits than i know what to do with.
what else do i need?
will i need a "comfy seat"
im not planning on paddling for miles n miles out to sea......but i'd like it to be as stable as poss,hence going for the 2 man. will i need a rod holder, and how do i attatch one if i do?
WHAT DO I HAVE TO LOOK OUT FOR SAFETY WISE???
ill be in the st lawrence to shanklin/sandown stretch........dont fancy st catherines race or any sort of " off shore" trips..
