well ive done my homework by doing alot of shore work! this has taught me tide skills, marks, and as maths taught us at school....probability :blah: :blah: .........put in the hours and it HAS to happen eventually!!!! but all the marks ive studied from the shore .....blah blah blah....i needed to be just out of shore casting range. :bash: look at neil mcellow that bad boy can hoon a bait/lure further than most from the shore..........he catches fish....often. as a speare fisherman ive also studied the topography (underwater floor) :nerd: and this knowledge also helps what gear/lure to use where. im just new to doing it from a kayak as a padler. if you're on the iow id be uber happy to hook up and have a paddle partner...and perhaps a rum or 2...as its the water craft skills that worry me....catchin the lil buggers WILL happen. as long as i can come home to my wife safely,THATS what matters! if you guys go out n come back in one piece, consider it a success!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :blah: :blah: :blah: as a seasoned lifeguard on the beach ive seen the effects when others aren't so lucky. to be out on the ocean is a privalige, and as land animals we should thank our lucky stars we make it back to try again next session. :win: :win:
