Rod joint problems???

The joint on my own carp rod that I use for spinning has become a bit too loose. So much so that I have to push it back in and level up the eyes every cast. I recon it's gonna fly off on casting soon

How would one go about making it more secure with it remaining as a 2 piece rod (no gaffer tape ;D )

I could buy a new rod but apart from being tight, I actually quite like my old rod Any suggestions? :ahhh:

rub a candle on the spigot m8 works a treat

easy pj.....

take it the tip pushes on the butt....if so trim a little off the tip but will need re-whipping or tapeing....this will cure it long term and is a permanent solution,you can rub the male end with wax etc but its just temporary

try cutting 1/4 inch off bottom of tip max ......this will tighten it rite up or givit me and will doit for you

only trim it tho pj if the butt has a spigot that sticks out and the tip slides over....... as the tip is tapered this will tighten it right up as the diameter is reduced :nerd:

i think you can get some sort of carbon spray in tackle shops for that sort of thing

got a can from daves tackle shop in gosport
if i remember correctly about 7 quid a can

7 quid well spent that can goes a long way pete .its cheaper than buying a new rod ;D
