hi peeps took my boat out on its maiden run lastnight runs ace.very fast but i didnt take my gps to check speeds any way when i opened up the 40hp to full speed the water was comming over into the splash well.its not a problem as the drain holes were taking it away. im thinking that a pair of doel fins will stop theis am i right or wont it help? thanx peeps

think its how thay R m8 put fins on mine still done the same just got on the plain quicker

It may be that the engine could do with being raised a touch so the cavitation plate is that bit higher. We have a similar sort of problem but physically cant get our engine any higher without making a stand-off plate.

thanx for the replys lads i can cope with it i was just wondering if there was a quick fix for it prolly just the engine is a tad too powerfull olly

dont know if you have a power trim and tilt or if its a manual tilt!if its manual try removing the tilt pin and putting it up or down 1 knotch!might help it did on mine!

sounds like your running stern down, the other guys maybe right, your engine needs trimming?
