Just over a year ago I started keeping native marine fish in my lounge! The bass that started out at less than an inch long had grown at varying rates (with one dominant gutty pig) to 8 - 12 inches! .....yes nearly a foot in a year. They have been fed well though!. Anyway, I thought it was time I released these guys (with the best head start in life possible) and dropped them down the creek a little while ago where they joined a resident shoal of little bass.....ahhhhh! As I did at the start, and as I have promised to do so I will keep you up to date with the goings on in the big brother tank. See the link(s) below to refresh yourselves or if this is new to you. www.beachandboat.co.uk/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=5863 www.beachandboat.co.uk/index.cgi?board=photo&action=display&thread=8959With the bass now gone (I did keep a mullet that has been there since day 1) it was time to restock with a few more new additions (no bass this time).....there is even a chunk of the sea bed from the brittle star grounds in there.....I think Andy hauled it out on one of the meet and greets Click below and watch the vid....... Dont you just love the flounder ;D

Iv got a freshwater Flounder in my tropical tank. Its about four years old now & only a mini species, about the size of a 50p piece. Bit of a character mind & will only take real food, ie earthworm/bloodworm. Like your set up.

nice 1 m8 is it harder 2 keep salt water, than fresh water ? any tips No mate, not too difficult provided you have a good filtration system and a chiller. I keep them at 19°C and they seem to be fine with that (as long as you add fish in up the summer months) I will be aiming to bring on some cuttle eggs this year and also add some small gilthead bream Did have some trouble with excessive plankton growth which can be controlled with an in line UV light.......though I have recently found a good stock of prawns will control it and stop the green water.
