Hi dies anybody know what Scallop "Frills" are. And how to use them. OK I've used scallops before but unaware that they wore frills. Generally I was more impressed by their post-life ashtray act but I do like to experiment. Who would have thought Lampreys so good! So any info on Scallop Frills and whether they are any good, truly appreciated. Cheers.

Scallop frills are the bits of skirt and tendon that surround the scallop that you buy in the shops. I`ve never used them but I know they use them alot for bream in the channel isles

Use them for haddock here up north. Normally free as they're the bit that gets dump when the scallop is shucked.

Thanks Guys, But do they have any use down here in Sunny Essex, or are they just a tipping bait?
