What advice would anyone give me in using a 13ft open Orkney with 10hp outboard ..is on trailer? Was looking to fish Solent off ryde , east cowes , sandown bay . Have life jackets oars anchor flares . Being given it by family member . Any advice would be appreciated ! Thanks sy

i do have a hand held vhf but not used one b4 ... u think size of boat is ok for where i was thinking ? or to small ?

nice .. wasnt sure if boat be too small .. been fishing off the beach a while but as boat has come along thought i would try it ...

its a nice boat and is more than capable of fishing the solent. its bigger than my kayak and i do just that. as long as your sensible weather wise. have a ball m8

Make sure the corks in! and rollocks tied on! lol but if you not been to sea in your own boat before then take someone who is experienced first to show you the ropes!
