brilliant rod. i have one but i dont think i could ever let it go, sorry it is a brilliant rod for rough ground and fast tides as well as being good on clean beaches although i find it a little heavy for most of my beach fishing but it comes in handy when codding in an october gale . i hope you get hold of one mate, you shouldn't have too much trouble finding one cheap enough

cheers mate, just a quick question since u have them how heavy are they in comparison to other rods i have an abu esprit at the mo but i find it quite heavy compared to when iv tried some of my mates rods

only just seen your reply so sorry i didnt get back sooner.
i've never used an esprit. but i think they do two, a 4-8oz and a 6-8oz?. the latter being the hevier of the two obviously. my xodus is rated 4-8oz so i should imagine its a similar rod to the esprit. i also have a suveran sx which is 4-6oz and abit of a cleaner ground rod, quite abit lighter than the xodus

cheers for that mate, i cant seem to get hold of an xodus so ive managed to get one of the shimano antares off of mooseman
