during the summer you have to keep your rag as well as possible, obviously not so cold that they freeze. keep them spread out in a tray with a little cool seawater-just enough to cover there backs. keep them in a fridge or in a cool place out of the sunlight, not the shed it will get hot in there. the water must be changed at least once a day to keep a fresh supply of oxygen and take out any dead bits or broken bits of worm, and also the crap that comes off them. using seawater you can keep them for a month my dad used to keep them in moist seaweed with an old rag underneath in a large tray , but ive found they dont last as long which is why i like to use water, also in the winter they are more likely to freeze, so in winter, i find keeping them in a little more seawater is sufficient and its cool but the salt in the water reduces the freezing point of the water so a small frost is usually ok . and its fine in the winter to keep them in the shed. the tray i use for keeping my winter rag is about 80cm long. hope thats helped
