Welcome to the site matey The best tuition/advice I would give is get yourself on a RYA Powerboat Level 2 course. Accept that it is not cheap but then again is yours or others lives worth the money spent. See the link to the course content here www.absoluteaqua.co.uk/powerboat_course_details.phpYou will also need a VHF licence and have to attend a course for that. It may well be worthwhile looking at your local night classes for Adult Education centres as they run these at a much reduced price. The other bit of advice I would give is to go out with others as crew and see how they deal with boat handling, this is where joining a club comes in handy. The best advice I would give to anyone is use your own feelings, if you are unsure or it does not feel right then don't do it/go out until you feel comfortable. No fish is worth a life! :thumb: I hope you get a good start and the first fish, whatever it is, feels great when YOU have put the boat on a position and YOU caught the fish. Dave :sunny:
