Its seems a tad expensive but we do fish places with no tackle/bait for 40 miles around! I dont know...£5 for 10 big'guns. Are they that good for flatties, presumably I can a few scartching baits from each worm. Anyone have any ideas? Cheers.

Are they the big welsh gulley lug? Your better off ordering some from baits direct, nice big 12" worms for around 3 quid 50

they are just as good as fresh. especailly for codling. ive out fished alot of my m8s useing frozen when they have fresh.
we fished dungie over christmas. we had 28 codling between 5 of us. i had 12 codling all on frozen when they were using fresh, coincidence? unlikely.

Good quality frozen blacks, preferably salted before freezing, are far better than poor quality blow lug. I would fish fresh every time if I could gaurantee the quality. Unfortunately its quite often the case that the tackle shops only have that horrible watery dutch crap so I end up using frozen blacks!

Personally I've caught bugger all on them, having said that the cod fishing isn't great on the Island. Think its the usual thing though, if the fish are plentiful and feeding they'll take anything, so if thats all you can get hold of, try them. Its worth looking on E-Bay though, as there are some that will send good quality Live Lug through the post, it arrives quickly and is excellent, Mick and I have used it several times when worm is hard to come by. Tight lines Davey

As said, better to get them fresh though as frozen ones are gutted so in effect they are only bits of skin really. Still work though
