hears the doner rib ,trailor and engine i got for a 1K so after a service and few nites of hard work i got the engine running and stopped it over heating. main problems been it was left for 2 years untouched , so the carbs were gammy , the water pump housing cracked , thermostat fooked, and steering tube bent. once all this was sorted i fitted to my boat. can you see my next engine on the whaler next mine...lol and it did not take long to sell the rib on so quids in :win: :win: on the first sea trail we have found that the carbs need a tune up and a fancy clean just for good measure so abi(from orca came down the yard today and wiped the carbs away for a fancy clean up, ready for tune and balence up. after that i just got get the prop right, which at the moment i have a hunch is to deep a pitch but at least the prop is a easy fix. so fingers crossed this weekend i could be out there, fish be afrade..............very afrade...............i have a figure to keep

well it been a long and very fustrating time but its sorted and today. ifinaly got the parts needed and a the tune up done and head out for a quick blast and hit 22kn with old prop so quick lift and i changed it to a 2nd hand one i got from warsash marine(with bit of help and some old collage stuff to work out what i needed) and she is fookin flying. with bit of tide up her arse she touched 34kn on and off and against it hit 30kn. what a difference a 4 stroke makes in where the power band sits. its so low down in the revs so a pint or 2 at the jolly and back home with big grin across my face
