for me, the LD doesn't offer anything unless you particularly want the thin diameter ( and they are amazingly thin!). i have big hands and the low diameter is an annoyance to me. a real feat of engineering though
the Match is a lovely rod. Not what i would consider to be a match rod for my local clean beaches but a brilliant general purpose rod. i used it last night at Hayling and it was showing bites all night from the millions of small bream that were around.
Purely on distance , the Match has slightly more power. I have cast mine 230 m on the field which aint bad for a fishing rod. i havent measured a cast on the LD but would expect it to be slightly down but not much, maybe 5%.
To be honest, both rods are great. You won't be disappointed whatever you choose

I agree with Ben/Henry - I have had a pair of LD,s for a coupla years now, superb rods, cast like a dream even for a cack handed c**t like me,Ive recently married them up with a pair of the new-ish Millionaires.............Wow

I suspect you have the CCC LD's snoops as the tip tornadoes are new for 2009. They make the CCC LD's look like conger rods!......you will have to have a go with mine to see what I mean. Not gutless either, these have been tested with 6oz + mackerel head and guts at full tilt......no problem at all!
