Earlier on i ran out to the garden after hearing screams from my girls , ran up to see what they were looking at , and found this beast ;D ............. done a bit of research on it :nerd: and found it to be quite a rare caterpillar of the elephant hawk moth , apparenty turns into a rather large beautiful pink moth :win: still scared the shite out of me when it opened its eyes , apparenty does this to warn off predators by making itself look snake like , put the big fella amongst plenty of greenery to develope :win:

We had them in our garden years ago when i was a kid. My Mum discovered it, shouted at the cat for shitting on the floor then screamed when the 'turd' moved!
We had people from Southampton University round to identify them as it was pre t'internet.
