The only "Bullet Rig" I know is a Trout/Pike rig used for fishing deadbait. Its just a lightweight version of a Running Leger rig using a drilled bullet... Its most likely to be a 2 hook flapper-type rig with a drilled bullet on each snood to keep the bait on the sea bed. I do a similar thing using spaced out split shot on my flattie rigs. So does anyone actually know what a double bullet flattie rig is before I email Conoflex?

here goes,i'll try to explain without pics...... the trace can be two or three hooks, either two above/one below, but is usually used in the one up/two down form.As martyng said, its a running ledger rig type rig using a drilled bullet as your main weight, the only diff being were you attach the rig to your main line, just below the clip( but above the top snood!) you trap a second drilled bullet, so that when you are fishing this rig( its for close in work only as it casts like a pig) it lays flat on the bottom,at times it can be really good for flounders and dabs the trick with this rig is to get the balance of top and bottom weights correct i normally use a 2.5-3oz btm and a 1 1/2 on the top)if you can fish it on a slack line all the better, and keep your rod low in the rest good luck!

Thanks. Thats been very helpful. Must tell you I fished Walton Pier with one rod out (L/S size 8s, micro beads ) for a sole and dropped a 3/0 rig for ass, crammed with lug and sandeel on a "Christmas Tree" over the side for patrolling bass, rays when..a sole grabbed the 3/0 rig. I dont know how it got all that in its mouth ! Picture follows if some kind person can let me know who to send the picture to. I'm too old to learn how to put one on a website. Cheers again.
