sent a few txt out to markiow and newdixie to see if they wanted to join me in the bay got a reply from mark saying he was too tied ;D ,in other words his x girlfriend said hes not aloud out to play ha ;D ,sad sack any way nige tex saying he felt crap after the bug he had in the week but would be up for a few hours got to the pier at 6pm to meet nige,then mark turned up to wave us of (very strange lad) un-screwed my center hatch to find aload of smelly fluid that used to be squid yuk that stank bad,cleaned it out and off we went went on the drift with no luck saw another yak so had a paddle over to see who it was then wen on to anchor up as soon as the bait hit the deck we had bite after bite dogfish,pout.on squid in solid form ha than nige shouts hes hit something big he had a big ray but was unsure if it was a ungalate or a blond stupid man the put hes finger in the fishes gob ha .im not saying hes thick but who in there right mind puts there finger in a big fishy gob ;D i then hit in to a big fighting fish on my 4 ft ice rod. after 5 mins of playing the fish it poped its head up.it was a conger of about 20lb ish. ran out of bait so went in and had a chat with a few shore anglers who had zilch ;D thats about it thanx nige for a good trip get well soon mush olly

Good fun then Olly. Can't beat a good spinning snotty to get the rod working. I've been ignoring this section of the forum... .... and missing some great reports Shame the guys on the beach were being tight with the bait. I always say that good turns get repaid. I once gave a load of Mackerel to two fellas in Sandown Bay one evening...as they were struggling to find any and needed them for their night session. The next afternoon after my Conger session I met them and they put me onto a great Turbot mark.... caught my first two Turbot within an hour. Just goes to show eh Kerep em coming mate
