hi mate my mate has an older evenrude which we run on 50/1 but dont take that as gospel double check 1st! wouldnt want you to wreck youre motor!but it runs fine on 50/1 rich

use a good quality oil 50:1 should be fine if you are nailing it you could use 40:1 buy silkolene, rockoil etc not the cheap shite from supermarket raced two strokes for years always put a little more in than specifed but not too much else they smoke like mad

I confirm 25 hp Evenrude outboard requires a 50:1 ratio. One pint of 2 cycle oil, to six gallons of fuel
As suggested use a good quality marine 2-stroke oil as the engine runs cooler as an outboard than a road going motor which gets a lot hotter.
