Took the kayak out on the hamble yesterday(whilst clare took my dinghy) Bit of a late start but had a couple of hours before darkness. So baited up the area on our mark and the mullet were soon feeding but as the tide started to run again they seemed to ''switch off''. Anyway, we persisted at the odd ones that were feeding and soon hooked a small one of about 2lb, as i went to lift her out the water she spat the hook Then managed to connect with a better fish which midway through the fight decided to wake up and give me some stick, diving under all the boats and wrapped around a rudder at one point About 4 and a half probably, still good fun. tightlines, scotty

Good to see you back on the Mullet Scotty... getting late in the season buddy; but better late then missing them entirely Next season mate....specimen hunting sessions only
