They did start making a 525 gs mag which i wanted as it would be far more controllable than the newer mags. you may find one of them around but in answer to your question, no!  however a second hand one with new bearings will be just as good as new. they are so robust the bearings are the only vulnerable part under normal use. great reels |

I had a 525 GS Mag, very nice reel and felt much tougher than the later 525 Mags. Drag was better, handle was better (chrome not black), best one of the lot.
