I've just renewed my bearings again, only a year and a half after the last time - problem being that with the boat just being rolled 100yd's into its space after being dunked at the bottom of the slipway. Has anyone used these or anything similar - www.bearingbuddy.com

Rate them highly, i had them on one of my boat trailers and never changed the bearings at all in 5 years until sold. They Only fit the tappered bearing i beleive! as i've only got the roller bearing type now. Would have them with out a doubt!

Pete,
Got them fitted on my trailer, they were on there (well used) when I bought the boat and I've not yet needed to replace anything.
When I was originally in the compound and bearings were a problem, I made a set of solid bronze bearings (just for pushing around) greased them well and they worked a treat and lasted till I sold the boat 7 years later. The cronies in the club poured a lot of scorn on them and continued to replace theirs every few months or so.

Got them on mine Pete, dont take mine on the road much, but probably gets a harder life being trailled over sand / into salt water than the average... - Sound investment, havent had to even adjust my bearings yet in a couple of years hard use :win: -
