My thread on It won't plane... I beached my wilson yesterday to find out why she wasn't going anywhere fast, I discovered I was a moving hotel for barnicles and inch thick sea squirts! I Guess this is why Now here is a hull that has been scraped Just need Antifouling and off we go  I have checked out Coppercoat web site and even though it is expensive, I recon it makes sense to use it. CHECK IT OUT www.coppercoat.com/index.htm

I've had her for a year now. This is her 2nd time out of the sea since I had her. The first time was just b4 the summer when i installed my transducer, the underside was clean then. I've used it a few times since and noticed her getting slower also while trying tight turns I found the engine/prop to be cavitating maybe due to the Litter underside causing too much turbulence maybe!!!! Anyway I will beach her again next Friday and give her an Antifoul. I have brought Antifouling and not coppercoat as I have my eyes on a new boat so will wait for that to coppercoat.

Good show! This is a very interesting point as the weed growth on boats this year has been bad! Mine despite having anti foul that they use on super yachts and only being in the water 4 mths needs to be redone now.Heard same reports from all over the south of boats getting the same problem.Global warming nitrates, crap anti foul or a combination of all 3 ?

Bring back red lead. I remember a TV prog from the 80`s that said the QE2 could save a million in fuel a year by regulary cleaning the hull. Weed on the hull is like tipping money away during every trip.

I know a fella that periodically covers the bottom in strong bleach... kills the squirts ... but not sure its good for the environment !!!
